Backyard Habitat Programs
All wildlife need the same basic formula: Water, Food, Shelter/cover, and optimally a safe place for raising the next generation. For some animals, that is also different plants from what the adults feed on- like caterpillar "host plants" vs nectar plants for the butterflies. These ecology-based sites will help you find ways to improve your own small yard-space for supporting native wildlife (plants, animals, and fungi). "Every square food of flowers matters".
